D&R Greenway "Plant Local" Book Launch June 7
D&R Greenway Land Trust invites the public to attend the Thursday, June 7 book launch of "Plant Local."
This visually stunning volume is a how-to on welcoming native plants to the home garden. Native gardens attract butterflies, butterflies and other beneficial creatures.
Divided into easy do-it-yourself home garden projects, "Plant Local" was was written and illustrated with photographs by Jared Rosenbaum, D&R Greenway's former Associate Director of Stewardship.
Maria Bahlmann served as the designer. The book may be purchased for $20 at D&R Greenway and at Labyrinth Books on Nassau Street, Princeton.
Profits from the sales of "Plant Local" will support the non-profit's Native Plant Nursery.
Jared Rosenbaum, founder of D&R Greenway's Native Plant Nursery, will speak on creating natural home gardens at 6 p.m., followed by a Q&A session.
Signed copies may be purchased during the reception, which begins at 5:30 p.m. The event will be held at D&R Greenway's Johnson Education Center.
